The Young area has many cherry and stonefruit orchards, and is widely known as the ‘The Cherry Capital of Australia’ .
Highlights of the year include Cherry Blossoms in September - October, and the National Cherry Festival in late November - Early December.
‘Pick your Own' cherries are available from mid-November until Christmas.
Young is centrally located in the ‘Hilltops’ Wine and Food region, increasingly recognised for producing quality cool climate wines, foods and offering an authentic country experience. Cellar doors offer tastings and sales of fine wines and quality produce are available in abundance.

Young is Celebrating the 62nd National Cherry Festival in December 2011 and it is going to be bigger and better than ever.
The Cherry Festival is from the 2nd - 4th December, 2011, with the Street Parade on the 3rd December.
There will be Bush Poets, markets, stalls, the Cherry Festival Carnival and Cherry Queen Ball and much, much more.
